Dr. Scott G. DeMars founded Rimrock Podiatry in 1988 with a single purpose: to bring the highest level of foot and ankle surgical care to Montana. At a time when patients with complex podiatric conditions often had to travel out of state for advanced treatment, Dr. DeMars built a practice that could serve them right here in Billings.

In 1993, he co-founded the current practice structure, growing what began as a solo operation into one of the largest and most experienced podiatry practices in the state. Today, Rimrock Podiatry's team of four board-certified surgeons is a direct result of his vision and commitment to building a practice around surgical excellence.

A Leader in Montana Podiatric Medicine

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. DeMars has played an active role in advancing podiatric medicine across the state. He served as Past President of the Montana Podiatric Medical Association, advocating for higher standards of foot and ankle care and working to expand access to podiatric surgery for Montana communities.

His board certification from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and his fellowship in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons reflect a career-long dedication to the highest standards in the specialty. With over 35 years of hands-on surgical experience, he brings a depth of clinical judgment that can only come from decades at the operating table.

Dr. DeMars also sees patients at Mountainview Clinic in Red Lodge, extending quality podiatric care beyond the Billings metro area to rural Montana communities that would otherwise have limited access to a board-certified podiatric surgeon. For patients in Carbon County and the surrounding area, his presence in Red Lodge means specialist-level foot and ankle care without the drive to Billings.
